Giorgio Armani at London Fashion Week
The Italian designer Giorgio Armani has several news for his customers. First, he is going to appear at London Fashion Week, which will be a unique event where fashion and music will meet.
Armani will introduce his spring/summer 2007 Emporio Armani women’s wear line. Besides he will showcase a range of hand-beaded and embroidered Red Carpet gowns from his fall/winter Privè couture collection and signature ready-to-wear collection.
At the same time, he will launche the Emporio Armani RED capsule collection and being one of the five partner brands participating in the Red economic initiative, Armani will donate 40 percent of sales of this line. RED was launched by the rock star Bono and Bobby Shriver - nephew of the late President John F Kennedy - at the Davos World Economic Forum in December.
Armani takes it as an honour and a privilege to present his collection at London Fashion Week and, at the same time, to create further momentum for Bono and Bobby Shriver’s RED initiative.
The event that is to take place on September 21, will be followed by the re-opening of London’s Emporio Armani flagship store and café on London’s Brompton Road in October, which first were opened in 1988 and currently closed for refurbishment.
Besides, after successful openings in Rome’s Fiumicino airport, London’s Heathrow airport, Guam’s Tumon Bay Gallery, and the Zurich International Airport, Armani is planning to open one more boutique in Narita Airport, Tokyo. The store falls into Armani’s new “Fast Track” program where consumers get a luxury on-the-go experience thanks to the Italian fashion house.
According to the latest news from Armani, very soon the designer will indulge Armani men not only with made-to-measure suits through the Giorgio Armani and Armani Collezioni labels, but also with Giorgio Armani Hand Made to Measure. The collection was inspired by the process of producing women’s Privè collection entirely by hand. Giorgio Armani Fatto A Mano Su Misura (Hand Made to Measure) starts in September and allows men to participate in the design process by choosing fabrics and having an access to the designer’s studio.
