Sexy dress at work categorizes you as a low-level worker bee!

Allure magazine reports on a recent academic study showing that dressing overly sexy in the office still may categorize you as a low-level worker bee… A researcher at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wis., showed men and women two video tapes. Each centered on the same woman.

In one scene she was dressed conservatively (in a business jacket and pants).In another she wore a tight mini skirt and heavy makeup.

When she was described as a receptionist, the participants assumed her competent even in sexy clothes. When the partisipants were told she was a manager in the sexy attire, she got low competence ratings.

Allure says researchers concluded that people link high-level jobs with stereotypically masculine traits…

Charnos Lingerie Brand Purchased by Sherwood Group

Intimate apparel company Sherwood Group has purchased the brand and assets of the Charnos business…

The acquisition was completed for a cash consideration of 585.000 pounds.

As is known, Charnos is a strong and recognised lingerie brand with over 50 years of heritage and is distributed to over 500 customers in the UK. It was voted ‘Best Sexy Lingerie’ in the Figleaves.com awards 2005.

Sherwood Group wanted to become the leading provider of branded solutions in the intimate apparel sector. The acquisition of the Charnos business is a good way to provide access to a greater number of independent retailers where Charnos has a higher penetration than current Sherwood brands.

No neeed to say that Charnos is positioned amongst the aspirational brands within the lingerie market and will broaden the reach of Sherwood brands. Besides, The brand fits well with Sherwood’s other brands – Lepel, Ted Baker, Discover Mademoiselle, Miss Lepel and the newly launched Urban Nights.

The Charnos company continue to have dedicated resource focused on design, marketing, sales and brand account administration…
