It is for those who can’t afford the real thing. The design house best know for swirly, psychadelic prints is enjoying a bit of a revival at the moment (not that it ever truly went out of fashion) thanks to the 60s revival and the appointment of Matthew Williamson as the new womenswear designer.

It`s evident that Matalan is very good for value swimwear. They do great mix-and-match ranges. Their abstract print comes everywhere beginning with a convertible bandeau tank. Prices per piece range from £3 for bottoms to £8 for the kaftan.

As is known, some people like retro. I`ve just spotted in nice retro swimwear. It proves that sometimes covering up can be just as sexy as showing off flesh.

On the left is Juicy Couture’s shirred and frilled one-piece for $150. Their beach range contains a lot of frilled numbers this year, and Lost’s Evangeline Lilly has been spotted in one of the bikinis. It looks gorgeous on a muscular body like hers.
Do you have curves? If yes,these suits will give you a real Marilyn Monroe or Jayne Mansfield figure. It does take a certain amount of confidence to pull off the frill, but add big shades and big hair and you’re halfway there!

As far as I can judge, swimsuits and bikinis of this brand all have a retro feel. These suits suit more for poolside posing than swimming in the sea.It’s retro chic at its best…

This Swimwear has a striped theme, spinning off from the past-season trend for Edie Sedgwick style.

If you are confident with tour body this tiny bikini is for you! It can be even better when it is coupled with horizontal stripes (gives the illusion of widening the body). This bikini is difficult to wear but if you’ve been working hard on looking great for the beach it’ll show that off! Side ties are equal parts forgiving. This, of course, gives a more girlie feel. But don`t tie them too tight! It may spoil everything!
