Choose The Right Bra Type for Every Case

Friday, September 24th, 2010

Healthy and comfortable underwear is the major preoccupation for most women. Finally, women started to pay attention to intimate apparel and think about its comfort and not sexy look at first.
However, to stay healthy we should know a lot more about our underwear so as not to regret later on. One of the things every woman must know is the classification of bras. Below is the list of the most popular types with some details and tips.

Choose The Right Bra Type for Every Case

Training bra. It is designed for preteen or teenage girls who are in the early stages of breast development. It is smaller than standard bra sizes, and its cups come without underwire support.
Padded bra. This bra comes with padding inside the cup linings making small breasts look fuller.
Underwired bra. It provides strong support to the breasts and also maintains the shape of the bra. However, some women claim it to be painful to wear.

Choose The Right Bra Type for Every Case

Strapless bra. Strapless bras come with no straps or straps that can be removed. This style is very useful for clothes that bare shoulders, such as tube dresses and halter tops.
Convertible bra. This bra comes with detachable straps that can be arranged according to one’s needs. It is usually worn with clothes that reveal the back and shoulders, such as backless dresses.

Choose The Right Bra Type for Every Case

Minimizer bra. This bra is commonly sought after by large-breasted women who wish to reduce the appearance of their breasts by a cup size or two.
Built-in bra. A built-in bra is one that comes with the clothing, eliminating the need for a separate bra. This style can be found attached to the insides of swimsuits and tube tops.

Choose The Right Bra Type for Every Case

Sports bra. Sports bras are made for active women who engage in rigorous physical exercise. They are designed to be comfortable and supportive by holding the breasts in place during motion, therefore reducing damage to soft tissues of the chest.
Shelf bra. This bra covers only the lower part of the breasts, leaving the nipples and upper part of the breasts exposed. It is not supportive and is worn in sexual situations.

F/W 2010 Lingerie Collection by Andres Sarda

I would divide all fashion brands in two categories: the ones with centuries old history and gained trust and respect, and the young ones that have to struggle hard to find their niche in the fashion industry. That is why we rarely hear about young brands, but when they manage to drive public’s attention, it is a sensation.
Andres Sarda brand has only four decades of history, but it has already gained hearts of numerous women all over the world.

Since the 60’s, Barcelona based designer Andres Sarda has dedicated himself to combining technology and innovation with the most seductive fabrics to create sublimely beautiful lingerie. Andres Sarda is a textile engineer who came from a family with clothes industry tradition.

The designer wanted to rupture with conventionalism and tradition of a time that had an aesthetical darkness, he dreamt of bringing his particular array of light into the field.
The major part of Sarda’s job is investigation of the lightest shapes, the softest fabrics, the most fabulous colors. What is no less important he uses the latest technologies and innovative techniques to create avant-garde and suggestive lingerie collections. His recent lingerie collection designed for Fall – Winter 2010 is a vivid example of his hard work.

I would say that the collection is not flamboyant and vamp, it is very elegant, exquisite and feminine. It is perfect for everyday wear as it will provide you with ultimate comfort. The collection includes only bra sets of diverse shapes and styles. The color choice is also rather reserved: white, beige, lilac, black and brown.

With Renaissance concepts and revolutionary ideas, Sarda gave women the pleasure of feeling, in their intimacy, the sensation of being wrapped up by beautiful and fashion clothes, flattering and with a wild point. Sarda gives them the power to feel attractive and confident.

5 Ways to Verify if You Are Wearing a Wrong Bra Size

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

Did you know that over 80 per cent of women wear the wrong bra size? The reason is they believe that they are size they are actually not. That can be very dangerous as a woman will notice the problem over time when it might be too late to improve the situation.
Besides, the larger the breasts, the bigger the concerns, says Tracy M. Pfeifer, M.D., a board-certified plastic surgeon in New York City. Following are the most common fit-related problems along with quick and easy solutions to ensure your bust looks and feels its best.

5 Ways to Verify if You Are Wearing a Wrong Bra Size

1. The band of the bra that wraps around your body should not ride up which means that the back is big. A bra should fit snugly so try to go down a size.
2. One of the first signs to change a size is shoulder straps digging in your body. Remember that 90 per cent of support should come from the band and the cups, not the shoulder straps of your bra. The solution is to try another bra with a different cup size and wider straps. For that follow our simple tip: first slip straps off the shoulders. If the bra slips down, go down a size on the cups and a band. If it does not, choose a bra with wider straps.

3. Another sign of the wrong bra size is puckering cups which mean that the cup size is too big and you should go down a size. Pay attention that if the cup is wrinkling only in the center it may mean that it is too small and breasts can’t fit in. In this case try a larger bra.
4.    Your back size is too big and/or your cup size is too small in case the bra follows the arms when you lift them.
5. And the bra is too small if the front wires stand away from the body. A larger size will solve the problem. Be healthy and take care of yourself.
