Disposable underwear

Tagalongs disposable underwearWe live in the era of disposable things – disposable gloves, nappies, etc. Sooner or later they should have come up with the idea of disposable underwear. There is no more inconvenience when stuck in a foreign airport! Today you can use disposable panties, which are available in drugstores in the hygiene aisle.

The news is that modern disposable panties do not look any more like those huge shapeless baggy undergarments that our grannies used to wear. Today’s disposable bikini panties and thongs are available. There are also garments, which feature some simple adornment, like panties with a pico lace trimmed waistband and leg openings.

Plastic underwear prevents your skin from breathing, but today’s disposable garments are all made of cotton, or at least have a 100% cotton crotch liner to provide comfort, hygiene and a perfect fit.

Besides, this genuine invention is smartly packaged for maximum space efficiency. The pack usually contains from 5 to 30 items, which are individually wrapped and each garment can fit in the palm of your hand.

But where can we wear them? First of all they were invented for those who are bitten by the travel bug and are used to spending nights at airports. But there is also a number of other cases when disposable panties can come in handy. They are perfect for menstrual days, hospital stays, spa visits, camping, and before or after workout.

And women are not the only ones who can benefit from disposable underwear. Today there are available different styles for men as well, which are promised to be extremely comfortable and useful.

Apart from disposable panties, you can find disposable socks that are made of soft material and available in mid-calf and ankle length.  I’m curious what’s next?

Simply wear and discard! It sounds as it is worth trying them, isn’t it? You can find disposable underwear at http://www.tagalongs.ca/index.html.

Leggings back as street wear

Wednesday, April 12th, 2006

Joy Bryant at Annual ten Celebrity Fashion Show, February 28, 2006 I cannot believe it! The leggings are coming back! Nordstrom.com features the look of leggings over the dress.

Frankly speaking, it seems strange to me to put on the pants underneath my dress, even if these pants look more like tights. For quite a time we have not worn them anywhere else but to the gym, and now it’s difficult to look at them as at a trendy garment worn for fashion.

In 2004 the leggings made sort of comeback in the form of capri-length tights worn with skirts, but the trend did not get so widely-spread and the leggings still remained mainly fitness apparel rather than street wear.

But I believe this year it will be different. Nordstrom.com is a very reliable source, and if it features the look a babydoll with leggings underneath, we can be sure that it’s already hit the mainstream.

Actually, leggings have a long tradition. They have been worn both by men and women for different purposes throughout the centuries. They were used for warmth and protection, for fashion and for comfort.

Few fashionistas know that the hit trousers of the ‘80s gained their overwhelming popularity thanks to the fitness and aerobics craze of that time. Actually, all dance clothes were worn as everyday wear in the ‘80s thanks to the movie Flashdance and the Broadway show A Chorus Line, that played a vital role in transferring leggings out of the fitness clubs into the streets. And who wears leggings today?

Modern leggings are mainly considered as athletic wear. They are often referred to as bicycle or running tights, but on the whole they are worn for all kinds of exercise form dancing to jogging. Besides, the military today still wear bright white leggings often made of patent leather or buff for ceremonial purposes.

Today the leggings come in a variety of colors and can feature unusual prints. However, dark hues as black, navy, and some shades of gray remain favorites.

And what do you think about these new trend? Are you planning to go for a new pair of sizzling pants in the nearest future, or such extravagant looks do not appeal to you?

Victoria Beckham and her Beauty Book

Monday, April 10th, 2006

Victoria BeckhamVictoria Beckham is busy right now with co-writing a new fashion bible, which will be titled “That Extra Half an Inch”. She works with Guardian-writer Hadley Freeman.

In her beauty bible, Victoria Beckham shares her tips and opinions on the fashion and beauty. In addition, the book will include some of the best fashion shots ever produced, interviews with Victoria’s favorite designers, but basically it will content practical advice and recommendations.

The whole project should have been kept in secret for six months, but eventually Victoria can talk about it. She is very excited about this new venture and comments on her work on the book very emotionally.

It is not her first experience of this type, Victoria has already written an autobiography Learning to Fly, which was a success. The book was translated into several Asian languages and was named the 3rd best selling non-fiction in 2001.

The new venture will probably become another milestone in the career of the former Spice Girl and will further prove her fashion-clout. It is quite natural that the book will be about fashion and beauty - Victoria has always showed the passion for haut couture and has an experience in designing clothes.

In 2004 Victoria reveals herself as a fashion designer when she released her high-quality jeans line called ‘VB Rocks’. The collection proved very successful, what made the former Posh Spice to continue her career in fashion. For the Spring/Fall 2006 Victoria offered her Children’s and men’s wear lines along with a range of women’s clothes.

Mrs. Beckham is also known for her fondness for pricey brands like Gucci, Prada and Dolce and Gabbana. She is also a dear friend of Roberto Cavalli and in 2006 she took part in Roberto Cavalli fashion show as a model.

So far Victoria is not going to give up her career in fashion, and now she plans to design a new collection of sunglasses and perfume.
