Tuesday, May 9th, 2006

Striped outfitBright hues are one of the hottest trends of this spring. And bright stripes are great favorites of the season! The most discerning fashionistas make their choice in favor of this sporty pattern. Cameron Diaz, Charlize Theron, Nicky Hilton, Stacey Keibler, Hilary Duff and many others fashion-clout celebrities stride along in funky striped tops.

Go to your local department store or your favorite boutique and purchase for a cute striped top. Bright and multicolor striped garments are available at any store this spring.

Spring collections of the best known brands feature different types of striped tops this season. Lacoste, Gap, Torn and Pegah Anvarian offer tank, rugby, or long-sleeved shirtsYou’ll find V-neck babydolls and cotton polo shirts, long-sleeve polo and kimono-sleeve sweaters.

You can choose any color combination you like. From classic black and white to emerald green, turquoise blue, deep red or sunny yellow. You may combine these colors with white, creamy or sky blue. Choose any combination according to the event and your mood. Don’t be scared to wear strong hues - the brighter your stripes, the funkier you are!

Besides, the width of your stripes can be different as well from extremely wide like Nicky Hilton has to very thin as Ashlee Simpson’s.

This sporty pattern will create a whimsical look adding some radiance to your casual clothes. Striped tops are perfect for the beach and at the same time they can become an unusual solution for your evening outfit.

Wear your stripes with snug leggings or super mini shorts as Charlize Theron and Stacey Keibler do, or be girlish in skinny super-low jeans and sports shoes like Garcelle Beauvais and Hillary Duff. Add a finishing touch to your striped outfit with a cute, cropped jacket or fun, stylish scarf.

Don’t be afraid of being creative. Combine bright stripes with bold, funky accessories like thick, link chains or anchor necklaces, or pair them with spicy bold earrings or colorful clips. Create a mystery look and emphasize the color of your stripes with the help of whimsical hoops or fancy-shaped studs adorned with your favorite gemstones.

And don’t believe in that old stereotype that stripes make you look wider. Dress in stripes and have fun.

Sports bras

Milavitsa supportive braI think most would agree that exercising is an extremely popular pastime of modern people. I have already posted an entry on activewear, but there is still a question about sports bras. Some women are convinced that it’s a necessary part of woman’s sports outfit, while others believe that a stretchy, tight tee provides enough support.

Although there are sports bras that can be worn as outwear, most women still prefer to put on a supportive bra under a sports tee or dress. Actually, it doesn’t matter what kind of bra you go for, it’s important that it should provide perfect support.

If you don’t want your breasts look saggy and unattractive, you’d better consider buying a good sports bra. Without good support high impact activity will badly affect on the shape of your bust, and it doesn’t matter what bra size you are.

Our breasts are supported not by muscles but by the Coopers ligaments, which can stretch because of breast movement. And once your breasts have lost their shape, it’s impossible to bring it back. And besides, the higher impact workout you do, the higher level of support you need.

Generally, sports bras with fastenings are considered more supportive than those without. The best choice for such sports as running or volleyball and other high impact activities is wide, non-stretch straps, racerbacks and bands that have more than one hook fastening.

A supportive sports bra is not one that causes you difficulties when breathing. It’s to be tight to minimize your breasts movement, but even more important is that it should be comfortable. There is nothing more irritating in the gym than a bra that doesn’t fit properly or rubs against your skin. Seamless cups and cushioned fastenings seem a good way out for preventing chafing.

Another thing that matters is the choice of material of your sports bra. The same as with activewear overall, sports bras are recommended to be made of wicking away moisture fabrics as CoolMax with breathable mesh panels. They will sustain your body temperature and besides prevent irritation, that can be caused by a soggy bra.

And the last, don’t forget to wash your sports bra after each workout, and remember to shop for a new one as soon the old one starts to feel loose.

You are welcome to visit our online lingerie store, where you’ll find a wide selection of sports bras.
