About 70 years ago women wore two-piece bathing suits consisting of a bra and modest, shorts-like trunks. But little by little such a kind of style began to disappear. And the bikini appeared! The event takes place between the 8th and 11th of August in Nova Friburgo (Rio de Janeiro,Brazil). About 20,000 people are expected at the 14th edition of the Brazilian Underwear Fashion Fair. Friburgo will become Lingerie Capital of the World for one week!

The exhitition will be opened for visitors out of town. Foreigners didn`t visit the event before. All the visitors of this wonderful event will learn about the novelties in lingerie fashion. On the whole there will be 12 shows. There will also be an exhibit telling the history of underwear from the 1600s to nowadays in the end. Some parallel events to show what`s in fashion will be organized. All the segments in the lingerie industry will be represented at the event.

The fair cooperates with the Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association  this Year. This cooperation is to bring bring much profit.

Industry giants as well as small companies will take part in the event. All kinds of lingerie will be widely presented there. I think everybody who is interested in fashion will enjoy this event.
